Azizi Developments has signed a second major lease agreement with Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD), marking a significant expansion of its manufacturing and logistics operations in the emirate. The agreement covers nearly 440,000 square metres of land and is valued at around AED2 billion ($540 million).

The 50-year lease will allow the real estate developer to build 12 new manufacturing facilities within KEZAD. These facilities will support Azizi’s growing pipeline of projects, including large-scale master-planned communities and major developments across the UAE.

KEZAD, which operates under AD Ports Group, said the new agreement strengthens its partnership with Azizi and reflects growing confidence among leading developers in Abu Dhabi’s industrial infrastructure. The leased plots are located within KEZAD and are designed to support large-scale production and logistics activities.

This latest deal follows an earlier agreement signed in October last year, when Azizi leased close to 220,000 square metres of land at KEZAD Al Ma’mourah under a separate 50-year contract. That initial investment, valued at AED1 billion, supported the launch of several specialised manufacturing units.

The first phase included facilities for steel reinforcement processing, timber joinery, duct fabrication, modular construction, aluminium and glass production, and aluminium extrusion. These operations were set up to meet increasing demand from the regional construction and housing sectors.

Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities and Free Zones at AD Ports Group, said Azizi’s continued expansion highlights the strength of KEZAD’s industrial ecosystem. He noted that KEZAD provides integrated land, infrastructure and logistics solutions that enable companies to scale efficiently and operate with long-term certainty.

He added that the agreement supports Abu Dhabi’s broader industrial growth ambitions and reinforces the long-term collaboration between KEZAD and Azizi as both continue to invest in advanced manufacturing and supply chain capabilities.
