Yango Maps, the new navigation app that’s set to take on the likes of Waze and Google Maps, has recently launched in Dubai. In a city where new roads and buildings are constantly springing up, having reliable online maps is crucial. Yango Maps offers drivers an alternative to the typical options, boasting fast and convenient route planning for driving, walking, or public transport. What sets this app apart is its highly detailed maps, complete with 3D models of iconic landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, the Museum of the Future, and the Dubai Frame.
With a true-to-life depiction of Dubai, including roads, buildings, underground crossings, and even natural elements like trees, users can navigate their way around the city with ease. The app covers over 3,000km of roads, providing accurate details such as lane markings, interchanges, tunnels, traffic lights, and parking spots. To enhance safety and awareness, Yango Maps offers an adaptive view of the route, highlighting important road details and zooming in on complex turns.
Additionally, users can benefit from real-time traffic updates and speed limit alerts that are voiced in advance. For those who prefer a more luxurious ride, the app also allows passengers to book journeys with the Yango ride-hailing service. Yango Maps is available for free on Google Play and the App Store, with both English and Arabic for the interface and voice directions.
Alexander Baksheev, the CEO of Yango Maps, expressed his excitement about launching the app in Dubai and emphasized their commitment to providing an accurate and hassle-free navigation experience. With approximately three million updates to the map every month, Yango Maps ensures that users have access to the most up-to-date information.
